Aril Estate had the pleasure of hosting NSW Governor, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, on her recent visit to the Central West.

Beazley and her partner Dennis Wilson spent nearly two hours at the Mudgee pomegranate and olive farm on Wednesday (June 24), enjoying a guided farm walk, along with tastings. Aril Estate owner Andrew Hadjichari showed the Vice Regal couple the farm’s pomegranate trees & expansive olive grove, before demonstrating how to cut a pomegranate open. They then enjoyed tastings of Aril Estate’s award-winning pomegranate & olive products, while also trying their hand at bottling their own olives to take home and enjoy. The tour concluded with a behind-the-scenes look at Aril Estate’s olive press and factory, where the Vice Regal couple discovered what is involved in the olive oil production process. Aril Estate was one of the only Mudgee businesses to enjoy an exclusive visit from the NSW Governor during her tour of the Central West.
